47 fires were still active as of 25 July evening, including a few major ones. Temperatures are expected to continue rising over the next days, with fire risk reaching unprecedented levels. Rain is however forecast over the week-end.
EU Civil Protection Mechanism operations are ongoing, with assets from Italy, France (in rotation on 26 July), Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Denmark and Portugal working on the ground. On 26 July, Sweden also accepted Turkey's offer of one Canadair.

Sweden has requested assistance through NATO's Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC). Offers have been received from Turkey, Belarus and Ukraine.
