Hurricane WILLA made landfall near Isla del Bosque village (Escuinapa Municipality, Sinaloa State) on 24 October. As of 25 October at 7.30 UTC, more than 4 000 people have been temporarily evacuated, a hospital has been damaged and there have been power outages in Escuinapa Municipality.
Over the next 24 hours, heavy rainfall and strong winds could affect Sinaloa, Nayarit and Durango States.
Copernicus, the EU's emergency satellite mapping service was activated on 23 October for Nayarit and Sinaloa States and three delineation maps have been produced so far.
