Heavy rainfall, snowfall and strong wind continue to affect California in the past 48 hours, resulting in casualties and damage.
Three people were killed in Placerville (El Dorado County, north-eastern California) and 35 people injured in Cajon Pass area (San Bernardino County, southern California).
Over the next 24 hours, heavy rainfall is forecast over western States (California, Oregon, Washington) and heavy snowfall is forecast over eastern California and most of the mountain states (Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming).
