La Réunion (France) - Tropical Cyclone FAKIR

  • At least two persons died after Tropical Storm Fakir hit La Réunion with gusts of wind up to 151 km/h on 24 April. The Centre opérationnel de gestion interministérielle des crises (COGIC) reported that the phenomenon caused local flooding and mudslides, impacting roads and leaving 115 000 households without electricity.
  • On 25 April, Fakir continues on its south-eastern path and has become a Tropical Depression.
